Cambodian troops fired BM-21 rockets at Prasat Ta Muen Thom in Surin, says Second Army Area, calling it an outrageous violation of Thai sovereignty.
The Second Army Area announced that Cambodian troops began shelling the Prasat Ta Muen Thom archaeological site in Surin on Sunday.
According to a post on the Second Army Area’s official Facebook page, the shelling began at 11:45am.
“This was an outrageous violation of Thai sovereignty without justification,” the post stated.
No further details on the extent of the damage were provided.
